tangofortwoChitose is your somewhat typical sheltered rich girl, heiress to her family business, but surprisingly down to earth compared to the expected snooty rich crowd. She's also very deprived of what most people would take for granted as simply normal - she's never really had true friendships and her education was strictly from high payed tutors, away from the social climate of public schools where she could meet people her age and make friends. The few friends she did have were carefully selected and paid by her family so that she would only be around the "right kind of people", to keep her away from scandals and to avoid bringing shame on the family name. Rarely able to have any time for herself, she found a bit of an escape in being a Vtuber she created and named Tatara, where she would simply chat casually with her viewers.
Purely by accident, one day she stumbled upon corruption in her own family, and partly out of spite towards her father, and partly because she knew it was wrong, she decided to expose the corruption in the family business - not that anyone believed any of it, except for one certain person who discovered her identity and assisted her. Sure, out of the "kindness" of his heart. Overall she'd probably have to say that when she was sent to Hawaii, it was likely the best opportunity for freedom she could possibly have asked for. Even if her self-defense instructor/butler tried to keep tabs on her as much as possible, she longed for her own freedom from the family and would do everything she could to avoid notice.
Encountering that person, while at first he seemed nice and a kindred spirit, turned out to have been a fateful meeting that eventually had her father decide to send Chitose to Hawaii to get her away from the scandal that was engulfing the family, thinking it would keep her safe. Of course, misunderstandings with the family aside, Chitose soon had much more to worry about with a little matter of being blackmailed herself, by her new friend. Not long after that, she had another fateful encounter with Ichiban, and things sort of .. spiraled out from there.
